Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome
Our Mission: To assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of people with Down syndrome.
DADS started in the summer of 2002 with a small group of men in Indianapolis, IN that had one thing in common - a child with Down syndrome.
The Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks (DSGO) has implemented this program here in the Ozarks. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for fathers to share with other fathers important issues in our lives, create educational and recreational activities for our families, and possibly develop unique fundraising opportunities for the DSGO through recreational projects.
If you are a father of a child with Down syndrome and looking for a place to share your story, find others willing to share in the joy of fatherhood, and help create educational and recreational activities for our families, please attend one of our monthly DADS meetings.
